If you have made it to this page, you are probably far more adept with wikis than I am. If not, I will learn along with you. Everybody tells me it's very easy.
My intent for this wiki is to disseminate information to you. Since I'm not totally confident with my wiki ability, any information I include here will also be covered in class either through discussion or handouts.
I am open to suggestions on how our class can use this wiki in new and creative ways. If any of you are wiki experts, I'd love for you to show us some of the basic and even more advanced features.
Once each of you has created your own wiki account, you will all have the ability to edit many of these pages.
Terry Small is a former teacher, now speaker of brain science. I find him extremely interesting. He offers a great deal of practical advice and information on how to learn smarter, not harder, based on scientific fact and research of the brain. He is in high demand and travels around the world, presenting to various groups including major corporations, schools, and industry. I will probably share some of my favourite Terry Small brain bulletins with you in the class, but I would emphatically suggest that you explore his website and sign up for the free bulletin yourself. By the way, he w hereas to speak to the Flin Flon Teacher's association during SAG in October 2011. Here's the link:
